Teen Sailing for 14 – 16 years of age
Our newly-revised program involves more sailing and water sports than ever before! With a chance to sail Lasers, Omegas, Hobicats, and 50ft Bavarias, this program takes full advantage of the beautiful Adriatic coast and perfect sailing conditions.
Sailing and outdoor enthusiasts will love our Teen Sailing program because it combines the best of both worlds: a fun, activity-packed week at Resident Camp, and a week of exploring the beautiful Adriatic coast aboard luxurious 50ft Bavaria yachts. Campers have the time of their lives and return home with lasting memories, new skills, friends for life, confidence, and many stories they are excited to share.
Please note, campers DO NOT need to have previous sailing experience – just the desire to have an amazing, fun-filled water adventure!

Our two-week sailing program starts with a week at Camp California’s Resident Camp in Pakostane, where our primary focus is on the fundamentals of sailing and learning/improving sailing skills in smaller boats. When they're not out sailing, campers get the chance to try a range of other water sports including windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, scuba diving, raft building, snorkelling, and waterpark - featuring our water trampolines and brand NEW blob! Campers also get the opportunity to join in and enjoy other Resident Camp activities.
Our second week brings open water sailing, island-hopping, and life on luxury 50ft sailboats. Campers sail for four to six hours each day, learning how to rig the boat, tack, anchor, steer, read the wind, and tie knots. Then it's time to drop anchor off beautiful islands and enjoy swimming, snorkelling, sea games, stand-up paddling, or simply relaxing on deck.
Teamwork, friendship, and fun are at the heart of Camp California’s Teen Sailing program, and so is relaxing with crewmates after a vigorous day at sea. Whether cooking a meal together on board, or visiting a restaurant, the whole group is together enjoying amazing sunsets, walks into town, and evening swims before the majority of the group sleeps on deck under the stars!
Croatia is one of the world’s top destinations for sailing – plenty of sunshine, mild conditions, and the beautiful islands and coastal villages of Dalmatia allow campers to wake up to a new adventure every day in one beautiful location after another!
Teen sailors sail along the beautiful Croatian coast, stopping in secret island coves to swim in crystal clear blue water. The itinerary includes visits to a variety of Dalmatian islands, coastal towns, and national parks including Pakostane, Zadar, Murter, Vodice, Kornati, Krka, Sibenik, Skradin, Kaprije, Zlarin, and Zaton.
